One Daily Page is a free journaling program that helps you build a reflective life.
What is it?
One Daily Page provides structure and accountability so you can develop and stick to a regular journaling habit. Ultimately, we believe a daily journaling habit helps us acknowledge fears and transform them into insights. We provide free, gently structured, daily journaling prompts to help you do that.
Who is this for?
One Daily Page is for people who may have tried to journal in the past but got stuck. Maybe you had trouble making the habit consistent, didn't know what to write, or often found yourself complaining.
Although the program is tailored around writing, we welcome artists, doodlers, and meditators. Just replace the verb, "Write" with "Draw," "Paint," "Collage," "Scribble," "Doodle," or "Meditate" in the prompts.
Why is One Daily Page Different from Other Journaling programs or prompts? Can't I just google "30 journaling prompts"?
Yes! There are plenty of good journaling prompts out there, and you're not locked into using ours: we're free, there's no commitment, and you can unsubscribe at any time (although we hope you stay!).
That said, One Daily Page provides three things that make us distinct:
- Gentle structure. I started this because my neurodivergent brain was craving structure in my journaling habits. I would spend more time googling journaling prompts than writing them, and they were wildly chaotic. One day I'm writing about my favorite outfits, the next, I'm writing about my deepest fears. So One Daily Page provides gentle but flexible structure. Together, we'll progress from exploration to reflection to action. More on that below.
- Accountability (yes to privacy, no to social media): It's simple but effective: every day, when you've written, come back to your email and mark that you've made progress. That's it. It's amazing how motivating a little accountability can be. Your responses are seen only by me, and you do not need to be on social media to participate.
- Introductory habit building program: Often, we promise that our future selves will write 35 pages a day at 5:30am in the morning, when our current selves don't write at all and like to stay up until midnight. This sets us up for failure. Then we start saying all sorts of false things like, "I'm just too lazy" and "I can't do things I want to do." So One Daily Page includes a one-week foundational series to help you determine when and how you'll write, and it will encourage you to build the micro-habits necessary for a true journaling routine.

Why the name? What does One Daily Page mean?
We believe that small things done consistently change the world.
When you start journaling with us, you'll commit to filling one page a day. That's it.
You choose the specifics: it can be one small page, one page front and back, whatever. You can fill it by writing with our prompts or paintings in huge brush strokes or scribbling swear words until you reach the end. If one page is full, you win.
We want this to be small, manageable, and achievable: it matters more that you show up consistently than that you write novels each morning (anyone else try and quit morning pages because three pages a day is a lot?).
However, you're not limited to one page! Write as much as you want.
Do I have to use your prompts?
Nope! You can still use the accountability feature in our emails, even if you don't write about the prompt.
How do I get started?
You'll want to set aside 5 or 10 minutes to get started: your first prompt is to reflect on why you want to journal and how you'll set yourself up for success. You'll complete this prompt on your computer, so don't worry if you haven't purchased a journal yet.
Just pop your email and your name into the form below to get started.
